Job Description:Ambassador has a great opportunity for a Shipping Leadperson! A well-established client in Tuscaloosa is seeking someone with outstanding leadership skills, and exceptional work ethic. This is truly an opportunity to grow within a company.

Position Summary:
Pulls orders, counts, loads, and unloads product on incoming and outgoing trailers according to the shipping schedule.

Position Responsibilities:
• Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment
• Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
• Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, and routes
• May operate tier-lift truck or use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to trailers or work areas.
• Performs other duties as directed by supervisor.

Essential Job Functions:
Mobility: Physically capable of movement to all Shipping areas. Ability to exert force necessary to move wheeled equipment weighing approximately 100 to 250 lbs.
Sensory: Ability to distinguish color coded equipment, containers, label, signs, etc.
Communication Speech and hearing abilities that allow the individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English, and/or another language if required. Ability to generate written communication and operate required office equipment. Ability to read, comprehend, and practice necessary safety procedures, signs, etc.

Desired Experience:
Six (6) or more months shipping or related experience.

High School Diploma or GED.
