What to Expect When You Want to Work for Ambassador.
Step One: The Application Process
You can click here [link to application on Job Board] to fill out our application. Or, feel free to visit our job board and find some positions that interest you. Or, you can go the old-fashioned route and simply give us a call at the Ambassador branch near you!
- Once your resume is received, an Ambassador Recruiter will evaluate your qualifications and experience.
- Selected applicants will be contacted by an Ambassador Recruiter for a brief telephone interview to gather information on your experience, compensation expectations, career goals and availability.
- If you meet the hiring criteria, we will schedule an appointment for you to interview with one of our Ambassador Recruiters and complete our application.
- If you apply in person, allow enough time (at least an hour) to complete the application process and for us to accurately assess your skills.
Bring the addresses and telephone numbers of current and/or former employers and an updated resume, if you have one.
Step Two: The Interview
Once you have completed your application, our discovery process starts.
- You may be interviewed immediately, so please be prepared! It may also happen at a later date.
- We need to get to know you, not only to make certain we’re sending our clients exactly what they’re looking for, but to also be sure we are sending you to employers you are interested in working for. During the interview, we will review your work history, including gaps in employment, and your skill set. We will also explore the type of work environment best suited for you.
- You may be given skill tests based on the type of work for which you are applying, your experience and your training. Please allow additional time for this testing.
- We will call your references upon completion of the interview and see what other information can be added about your work experience and skills.
**All information provided will be kept in the strictest of confidence**
Step Three: The Hiring Process
Applicants who have successfully completed all phases of our application process may be considered for potential employment with Ambassador. We will check your criminal background and may check your MVR, education, and/or credit if the job/company specifies it. Positions will be offered based on information provided on our application, during the interview process, from references and any specific skill set desired by our clients.
When you accept an assignment from Ambassador, you will be required to return to our office to complete our Post-Hire process, which may take up to 1 hour. You will need to bring the identification listed on the I-9 form to complete your I-9 forms as we adhere to the I-9 policy of verifying employment eligibility in compliance with government regulations. We, also, use the Department of Homeland Security’s E-Verify service to verify your ability to work in the USA.
Finally, you will need to bring your banking information to fill out either a direct deposit form or sign up for our Skylight Visa Paycard. We will also give you a drug screen as drug testing is a pre-requisite before starting any Ambassador assignment, no matter how long the assignment lasts.
Step Four: The Assignment
After completion of the post-hire paperwork and the results of your background check and drug screen are successful, you will be given an in-depth orientation about your job assignment and about our payroll information. When you’re placed with one of our clients, we want you to be successful from day one! We’ll give you all the information you need to ensure a productive and positive experience.
